After spending 8 years at Telshe Yeshiva and receiving smicha from Harav Mordechai Gifter, Shlita, in 1987, Rabbi Hollander was a pulpit rabbi in Cincinnati, Ohio for 3 years and then served as a staff member of Agudath Israel of America for 6 years. While with the Aguda, Rabbi Hollander worked in the capacity as Director of Agudath Israel of Illinois and later, of Agudath Israel of California..

He has also served as West Coast Regional Director for the National Council of Young Israel.. Currently, Rabbi Hollander is the rebbi for the 5th grade boys and the 8th grade boys at Yeshiva Ohr Eliyahu in Los Angeles. He is also Rav of Young Israel of Venice-Torah Learning Center.
