"Ani Yosef, HaOad Avi Chai?" Gen 45:3 "(And Yosef said to his brothers),
I am Yosef, is my father still alive?"

Not only did Yosef's name remain intact, but he gained the letter "hey" to his name. This is why the verse says I am Yosef, "HaOad?" Don't read it as "HaOad" meaning "still?," but rather read it as "Hey, Oad", meaning an extra letter "hey." Yosef had an extra letter "hey" added to his name as it mentions that the angel Gavriel added the letter "hey" to his name in the book Tehillim. Since Yosef received this extra letter, the remainder of the verse is true -- that his father was certainly alive and well. For if Yosef sinned, the stain of the sin would taint Yaakov since Yaakov and Yosef were inseparable and their fates intertwined.
