Shmot 25:9
"Exactly as I show you, the pattern of the Tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, so shall you make it."

The Mishkan (Tabernacle) on Earth is a blueprint for the celestial one. The
celestial mishkan is compared to a large kingdom. Scaled into a blueprint, a
huge marketplace would be represented by a small line, while a large palace
would be represented by a small dot. The mishkan's significance can be
demonstrated through the following parable. A master architect trained several students. One wished to become a master and as he was assigned to sketch a blueprint of a large city. When he finished, he presented his work to his teacher for review. The master architect looked at his work and smacked him in the cheek because he had left out one small dot in the entire diagram. The student was stunned and cried to his teacher, "Why did you strike me for leaving out one solitary dot? This simple omission should be discounted because everything else is perfect !" The teacher replied to him, "Imbecile!! While it is merely one dot on your paper, it represents an entire palace ! Through your simple omission, you deleted an entire palace from the city !!" Our earthly Mishkan is a blueprint for the heavenly one. Each detail must be precise -- a small, seemingly insignificant error is considerably significant. The smallest vessels in the tabernacle are truly scaled down instruments of heaven.
